Get ready to embrace the fall spirit and join us at the seventh annual Prairie Harvest Fest on Saturday, October 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at High Prairie Park in Aurora, located at E. 59th Pl. & N. Orleans St. This community favorite returns with a day full of fall festivities, a farmers and crafters market, horse-drawn hayrides, a costumed character scavenger hunt, and a whole lot of community spirit.

This year’s Prairie Harvest Fest features an open-air market with more than 60 local vendors alongside a full slate of family activities. Guests can pick their own pumpkin at Xfinity’s charity pumpkin patch, horse-drawn hayrides, face painting, a balloon artist, pumpkin decorating special prizes, a bounce house, and a Mile High Pickleball demo. Kids can join a costumed character scavenger hunt including an Autumn Fairy, Woody and Jesse from Toy Story, and Encanto’s Chiquita. Wrap up your hunt by claiming a special goody bag presented by Advent Health.

Costumes are encouraged for our wildly popular Costume Contest, kicking off at 12 p.m., with categories for kids 6 and under, kids 7–17, adults 18+, families, and pets. We’re giving away overnight stays and family 4-packs for the Gaylord of the Rockies’ ICE! Holiday programming featuring Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Dress up your furry friends, too — pets are a costume contest category of their own!

About Prairie Harvest Fest

Prairie Harvest Fest is Painted Prairie’s signature fall celebration, presented each year by the Painted Prairie community in Aurora, Colorado. First launched in 2020, the festival has grown from a small neighborhood gathering into one of Painted Prairie’s largest annual events. Held every October at High Prairie Park, Prairie Harvest Fest brings together local food trucks, an open-air market of local makers and vendors, a pumpkin patch, horse-drawn hayrides, a costume contest, and a full day of family-friendly fall activities — free and open to the public. The event is made possible through the support of neighborhood builders, local businesses, and community sponsors. For more information about Painted Prairie, visit lifeatpaintedprairie.com.
